Thank you for supporting Stockwell Studios by signing our petition. We were able to present the London Borough of Lambeth Council with over 1100 signatures. We received some wonderful comments which boosted the moral of the group greatly during this tricky time.
On Thursday 15th April, Lambeth Council offered us an 18 month lease with a view to working with us on a long term vision. We are currently negotiating the heads of terms for the lease with Lambeth and the outlook is broadly positive. However, the group is still under eviction notice and all support is very much needed. We have started building work to address the most pressing health and safety issues and are urgently looking for more funds to implement longer term improvements - rewiring and re-roofing.
